Bradford Town Bridge with Abbey Mill beyond and the terraces of Tory and the hillside in the background.

The hillside seen from the railway station. Directly above the spire of Holy Trinity church is the former rug factory on the edge of the Budbury plateau. Below is the terrace called Tory (or Top Rank), then Middle Rank and the Ropewalk on Newtown.

A view looking over the town from the chapel of St Mary at the highest point of Tory. The parish church of Holy Trinity is in the middle, with the Ropewalk, Newtown on the left. Most of the view beyond is occupied by the buildings of St Margaret’s Street and Trowbridge Road, with buildings of the former rubber factory on the left, now mostly demolished.

Another view from St Mary Tory ,looking over the town centre on the northern side of the river. This was taken after the rubber factories had been redeveloped- old buildings cleaned and converted to housing and shops with mid 20th century buildings replaced by new ones.
