Become a Volunteer Steward at the Museum
.
Page updated December 2025
If you’re fascinated by Bradford’s past, why not share your passion with others? We urgently need volunteer stewards who can help out at the Museum, welcome visitors and share stories.
Because of the security of the objects on display, the Museum can only be open when there is a Steward on duty, so we really need you!
One of the biggest benefits of volunteering as a steward is that you can pick which and how many stewarding sessions you want to do – you don’t need to commit to a regular slot, and if you are away / busy for part of the year you can still sign up for rest of the time when you’re available. Full training is given, and it’s a rewarding way to spend a few hours meeting and chatting to visitors to the town.
If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer steward, please contact Peter Mann at petermann46@btinternet.co or 07779 347962.
If you’re interested in volunteering but stewarding is not your thing, take a look at our Vacancies page for a list of other roles we’re looking to fill.
