The modern boundary of Wingfield, showing additions from Bradford and Westwood and the loss of a small detached piece to Farleigh Hungerford (Somerset). The 1840 Tithe Map of Wingfield shows a number of pieces of land, especially in the north, that belonged to Farleigh Hungerford; they may have been parts of the former manor of Rowley/Wittenham. Some small bits of Wingfield were to be found within the bounds of Trowle Tithing in Bradford parish. All these anomalies were tidied up at the end of the 19th century and further adjustments were made in 1934, with the transfer of 532 acres from Bradford Without (including 62 acres that had formerly been in Trowbridge).
