Camille Félix Desiré Caillard (1822-1898) was born in Paris, son of Camille Timothée Caillard and Séraphine Désirée Henne. He entered the Inner Temple in London and was called to the Bar in 1845, becoming a County Court Judge for Wiltshire in 1859, a JP for Somerset and Wiltshire and Deputy Lieutenant of Wiltshire. He replaced Joseph Grace Smith not only as judge, but succeeded him at Wingfield Manor as well, buying the house in 1861. He went on to own most of the parish of Wingfield.
Sir Vincent Henry Penalver Caillard JP (1856-1930), son of Judge Camille Caillard and his first wife, Emma Louisa Stuckey Reynolds, was a financier, specially involved with Egypt as a director of the Bank of Egypt, also a director the arms company Vickers.
