A School Visit

Grove School visit

.Bradford on Avon Museum has a small temporary display of letters of thanks that were sent by children from the Grove Primary School in Trowbridge.

They had visited Bradford and the Museum at the beginning of October as part of their studies about the Victorian period.  The Museum was  able to show them our old chemist shop and demonstrate how pills were made in the days before medicines came from the factories of multi-national companies.

In these days of texting and tweeting it is good to see that the Grove pupils are being taught how to write proper letters. One child wrote that it was the best day of her life!

The display is in the foyer of the Library and runs until Saturday 10th November.
