The second talk in our series is by Robert Race and will be held on the 12th June at 7.30pm at the United Church in St. Margaret’s Street. Doors open 7.00pm.

Bob Race’s work has ranged from dolls’ houses and moving toys to automata and kinetic sculpture. ‘I try to make things which move in simple but interesting ways: traditional moving toys have influenced me strongly. I incorporate natural materials, including driftwood, which I like because its previous uses often still haunt it, and its time at sea builds its character’.

Tickets: Members of the Museum Society & Preservation Trust £7, non-members £9, from Ex Libris bookshop, Shambles (cash only), or on the door (cash and card). A hot drink is included, and a book stall will be available at the end.
