Discussion Group: The diaries of Beth Hignell, ‘It makes you spit!’

Wednesday 3rd October, 7:30pm in the Library Meeting Room

In our next Discussion Group session, Colin Johns will be talking about the diaries of Beth Hignell, which he has studied.  Elizabeth (Beth) Hignell came to Bradford on Avon in the early 1940’s, a refugee from the bombing in Bristol, and for the rest of her life lived at 7 St Margarets Street.  For some 60 years she took a keen interest in local affairs – this is her story.  Join us for “The diaries of Beth Hignell: ‘It makes you spit!'”.

Discussion Group covers a wide range of subjects, and if you haven’t been along to a session yet, do try it out.

The meetings take place on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:30pm in the Library Meeting Room, and are FREE to members (please remember to bring your new membership card!).  Non-members can attend one session before being asked to join.  If you know of someone who isn’t a member, do bring them along – it’s a great introduction to the Museum.
