Agatha Christie in Bradford on Avon?

.

Japanese tv company filmingThe Christopher Pharmacy in the Museum has been used as the setting for several television programmes. Usually these have been about antiques -Antiques Road Trip and Flog It- and for British television. The latest film crew was Japanese and wanted a suitable location for part of a film about an episode in the life of crime writer Agatha Christie. Like Jane Austen, Agatha Christie is very big in Japan, but she had no connection with Bradford. The film will air on national broadcaster NHK in Japan in January, but it is possible that it will be shown on NHK’s satellite channel.

The Museum did gain some cash as a facility fee and we await an influx of Japanese visitors.
