The Bath Road at Farleigh Wick, looking towards Bradford, was much narrower in the early 20th century than it is now. The former Fox & Hounds public house is on the right. The bus, probably the one that connected Bradford with the Bath tram at Bathford, may have been inserted to add interest to the picture.
Looking towards the entrance lodge of Monkton Farleigh Manor House in the early 1950s, with the King’s Arms pub on the right, then advertising beer from George’s Bristol Brewery
Probably in the 1980s or 1990s, a summer fête in the grounds of Monkton Farleigh Manor House, with the fountain in the foreground and a view along the Avenue towards the Vale of Pewsey in the background.
