Indenture deed

.

As a rule, Bradford on Avon Museum does not collect archives, with the exception of the archival material that was acquired with the R.T. Christopher chemist shop, such as the complete collection of prescription books.

The Museum does occasionally acquire single documents, such as the odd single indenture and those deeds that have been framed as decorative items, like those that used to hang on the walls of the Bunch of Grapes public house.

We are always delighted to receive bundles of deeds of houses and land, so that we can examine them, but we will pass them on to the Wiltshire & Swindon Archives at the History Centre, Cocklebury Road, Chippenham, where they will be kept in perfect conditions and made available to all researchers.
