A view over Barton Farm from the quarries on the hillside, looking towards the town. The Tithe Barn is in the foreground and on its left the West Barn still has a wing to the south.
The farmyard early in the 20th century; the dairy, part of which can be seen on the left, was demolished in about 1977.

Geese in the yard of Barton Farm with the Tithe Barn and Granary behind. The wooden structures that are scattered around were probably stalls for feeding cattle.
After the Wiltshire Archaeological & Natural History Society acquired the Tithe Barn various large museum objects were stored there, such as this typical farm waggon. The roof had not yet been restored and some large timbers are in use for shoring it up.
Among the items in the Tithe Barn are an old stagecoach and what may have been the pestle-and-mortar sign from Willson’s chemist shop in Silver Street.
