Discussion Group: The Current Work of the Museum Research Group

Wednesday 6th March, 7:30pm in the Library Meeting Room

This session will be led by Roy Canham who will be giving us an update on the Current Work of the Museum Research Group.  As you may know, Research Group meets on Monday mornings at our premises in Holt, and for the past few years a lot of the group’s work has focused on Budbury, culminating in a report produced last year which should appear in Wiltshire Archaeological Magazine (WAM) later this year.  This session is a chance to find out what the group is up to now.  You may even be inspired to join them!  (The picture on the left is of Horton House dovecote).

Discussion Group covers a wide range of subjects, and if you haven’t been along to a session yet, do try it out.

The meetings take place on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:30pm in the Library Meeting Room, and are FREE to members (please remember to bring your membership card!).  Non-members can attend one session before being asked to join.  If you know of someone who isn’t a member, do bring them along – it’s a great introduction to the Museum.

If you would like to volunteer to give a talk to Discussion Group, please contact Kate Turnbull at turnbullke@googlemail.com.
